Frontline is part of the supply chain, of the logistics department at Campbell’s. We make sure that the retail industry is supplied: we get the right product at the right time to the right person. And of course, we provide the necessary service: in case of stock interruptions, we dispatch goods at a later time, if trucks aren’t on time, we notify customers, etc. The communication with our customers is continuous.

I am perfectly aware of what sells where and what doesn’t, because every morning a computer programme provides me with the stock data of our most important customers. I check, for example, how much stock Delhaize still has and based on these figures, I can see how much we need to supply them.

I have been working at Campbell’s for twenty years in various departments. I have made it clear that I like to learn so that I won’t get stuck doing the same job year after year. I have always been given these opportunities at Campbell’s. It is impossible to get to know everyone personally, but the contacts among employees are positive and there is a great atmosphere.

In spite of our strong brands, it is a constant struggle to get the right product in the right place. Service is key in achieving this.
